The Silver Kings were founded in 1849 by the Phelan brothers, Doyle and Manus, and fought aggressively with the Brotherhood of the Golden Mountain and the MacLellan Clan for territory in the new city. Now, they claim the Financial District and protect the downtown branch of the family, Doyle having long since left for Golden Gate Park to form the uptown branch. Manus’ interest was the accumulation of power and money in order to better serve the interests of his pack and his family is firmly based in banking as they have been for over a century. Rex Argent Investments is the family corporation and employs several wolf-blooded and a dozen mortal descendants. With the exception of the period when Sean Keegan was alpha of the Tree-Speakers, the Silver Kings alpha has generally been considered the head of the family with the support of the ancestor spirit. Lately, however, many defer to Tess Keegan, Sean’s daughter, as she is older and more renowned than her cousin, Hugh Keegan. There has been some coolness between the packs since the mid-70s, when a member of the Silver Kings went Bale Hound and killed Tess’ sister Kelsi and her husband. Tess was prevented from killing him, instead he was slain by his alpha, Glynna, who then committed suicide. The Castro War cost the pack its beta, Victor McShane, and afterwards his brother, Jeffery, left to join the Rainbow Guard.

Their locus is at Rex Argent Investments and they have Silver King as pack totem.
