Junior is Hugh's son and younger brother to Nora and Jeremy. Kelly is his sister-in-law. He is divorced from Jennifer and they have two children, Samantha (9) and Jason (6).

Description

Hishu

A well-built Caucasian man in his mid-30s with short red hair, dark gray eyes like his father's, and freckles. When at Rex Argent, he wears black suits with pastel cool colored shirts and expensive shoes and ties. Otherwise, he wears jeans, short-sleeves white dress shirts, and sneakers. In inclement weather, he wears a black trenchcoat. He no longer wears his wedding ring.

Storytelling Hints

Hugh is an honorable man but suffers from a bad temper which his wife uses against him. He tries hard to please his father but isn't the tool that many of the family think that he is. The old man and he have had some hard arguments and are both stubborn and their own men. He is sad his relationship with his brother isn't better but loves his sister and the two have always supported each other against their father.

Background

Hugh is a good man trying to live his life under the thumb of his hard father and his manipulative ex-wife. He resents that this father has put him at odds with the rest of the pack and tries his best to mitigate the hard feelings. He is also very angry at his ex-wife for having humiliated him in front of the family, though the deepest hurt for him is the realization that she never really loved him. He loves his children and most of the happiness in his life comes from caring for them. His wife is happy to let him raise them without her help, but constantly uses them as leverage to get what she wants from him and his father. At the same time, he is trying hard to become fit for the roles his father is trying to force him into, leader of the pack and the downtown family. He is an avid outdoorsman, taking his children camping, kayaking, and hunting. He hones his werewolf instincts in the wild, to balance out the urban skills his pack is renowned for. He sees their job as policing and so has taken a lot of time to learn their territory and master gifts that will help them keep it under control. He's an accomplished ritemaster, attentive to the lessons his father is willing to teach.

Recent Events

With the disposing of his father, a lot of the pressure has been lifted from him and he finds himself perfectly willing to follow Tess as leader of the family and the pack. He is concerned, though, that his father will snap and feels that making Mike the beta was a mistake. He has a great deal of respect for his father's accomplishments and doesn't want to see them belittled.
