Damien was married to Kim Keegan, who died in the Castro War, and is the father to Josh and Vanessa, who is married to Jeff's son Ben. His sister Deborah is married to Jack and his brother, Eric is a widower of the Castro War, like himself. He is also Hugh's nephew and Michelle's brother-in-law. He is a mechanic and owns a junkyard.

Description

An grim-looking man in his mid 40s with a growing gut, short dark hair with a full beard and mustache, weathered skin, and gray eyes. He wears a Harley-Davidson cap, denim overalls, plaid shirts with the sleeves rolled up, and heavy workboots. He has three nasty scars on the left side of his face and part of that ear is missing, legacy of his son's First Change.

Storytelling Hints

Damien is bitter, resentful of his family, and tending towards alcoholism. He generally won't converse with any Uratha or their kin who aren't family, and he's not talking to them a lot, either. He and Tess have a very poor relationship as she is still bitter about his father's betrayel and he can't forgive her for letting his wife die. He is on fairly good terms with his brother, though they argue a lot.

Background

Damien Keegan, Jr. has suffered many losses in his life due to fighting between Uratha. His father was killed by his alpha as a Bale Hound after he'd killed Tess' sister Kelsi, mother to most of the Tree-Speaker pack. Damien was sixteen at the time and had a hard time accepting that his father was a murderer. He spent a period in rebellion, not interacting with members of his family, until he met Kim while at college and the two fell in love. They married and his hopes for a normal life were shattered when she First Changed during Josh's birth. The year after the birth of their second child, Kim was killed during the Battle of Glen Canyon and he was left to raise their children alone. He tried to withdraw from the family but the persistence of Janice, Kim's best friend, kept him in the loop though he tried his best to keep his children from being drawn into this life which hurt him so badly. His hopes were again shattered when, within a year, Josh changed and was taken in by Janice's pack and Vanessa married the son of another Uratha, Jeff McShane. Since then, Damien has retreated into bitterness and is often found drinking at Doyle's, not out of love for the family but to try and keep tabs on his son. He is angry at Janice and Tess for allowing Josh to join the Castro pack and isn't speaking to either of them anymore. He runs a junkyard and occasionally disposes of things for the pack through friends who own a landfill outside of the city. He keeps a number of purebred Greyhounds that he have retired from the racing circuit and have full run of his junkyard. He's very fond of them.
