Background
Jennifer has always known that she wanted power. Not the sort of power he father and older sister had, but the sort of power that made dealing with problems first hand unnecessary. She also lacked any respect for her hippie parents and her weak-willed older sister. After her father died and the Castro War was over, she took advantage of her aunt's drive to get members of the two branches of the family to marry to arrange a union with Hugh's youngest son and secure for herself the money and influence she needed to get where she wanted to be. Her attentions to the old man got her funding for business and law school and a position at the family firm. It didn't take much to get herself put in charge of the company's attorneys and a position as Vice-President of Operations. Under pressure, she had two children which she is proud of, but more in a trophy way than a motherly affection. After several fights with her husband and father-in-law about more children and secure in her position, she got a divorce, securing for herself a sizeable chunk of the family fortune. Attempts to remove her from the company failed because her influence proved stronger than that of her enemies and so now there is a standstill in hostilities. Her cousin Jack now represents the final step she wishes to take and she's been cultivating her base of support in preparation for a takeover.
