Plot

The Krampus is loose in San Francisco, first volley in the Unseelie Court's attack, and it is up to Deirdre and the rest of the PCs to stop him before he disappears with the children he's abducted while dealing with the usual holiday chaos.

Connections

  • Tim asked Jed to give the Seal of Solomon to Daisy before he died. Jed is reticent to do so.

  • Jake Callahan - 9, runaway, abducted in the Haight but his absence was only noted by Preacherman
  • Vanessa Gao - 12, street prostitute, abducted in the Tenderloin but her absence was only noted by Preacherman
  • Emily Barth - 8, abducted in Union Square, cruel to her younger step-brother

Little Sister

  • Location: Tolliver's car (Friday morning)
  • Participants: Grace Pritchard, Tolliver Pritchard
  • Setup: Tolliver picks up Grace at the airport and snow begins to fall again.

Unexpected Guest

  • Location: Daisy's shop (Friday morning)
  • Participants: Jed McGraw, Daisy Mae McGraw
  • Setup: Jed shows up, without his crew, and won't give a reason other than he thought she'd like company for Christmas, though something's wrong.

Homecoming

  • Location: Eva's apartment (Friday morning)
  • Participants: Jean Dubois, Jeanette Dubois, Eva Dubois, Solomon Dubois
  • Setup: Solomon shows up with the twins, bearing mochas. The coffee for the parents contains love potion (that will last until dawn on Christmas).

The Gift

  • Location: Gideon's bedroom (Friday morning)
  • Participants: Gideon Kindle, Deirdre Donovan
  • Setup: Gideon presents her with an emerald and diamond ring in a white gold setting. It is magical, but its purpose of occluded.

Meet Pete Black

  • Location: Dierdre's apartment (Friday afternoon)
  • Participants: Deirdre Donovan, Pete Black
  • Setup: FBI Special Agent Peter Black shows up, saying he was referred to her by Bo MacNeil, tells her about the three abducted children.

Word on the Street

  • Location: Multi-Service Center (Friday afternoon)
  • Participants: Preacherman, Tina Yates
  • Setup: Daisy gets a call from Preacherman about Tina, also informs her of the two children taken from the street. Jake was with another child, Angel, who describes the abductee as "the devil".

Santarchy

  • Location: Union Square (Friday evening)
  • Participants: Lots and lots of Santas, Pete Black
  • Zones: Outer Square: N (PARKING GARAGE), NE, E (GLASS SHELTER), SE, S (PARKING GARAGE), SW, W (GLASS SHELTER), NW; Inner Square: N (GLASS SHELTER), NE, E, SE, S (MACY CHRISTMAS TREE), SW, W, NW; Powell, Post, Stockton, Geary (one each with one for each intersection), PARKING GARAGE
  • Aspects: CRAPLOAD OF SANTAS, CHRISTMAS EVE, LAST-MINUTE HOLIDAY SHOPPERS
  • Setup: Whatever means they use to track the Krampus leads them to Union Square during the final shopping frenzy, just as the Santas descend for SantaCon 2010. Krampus uses Glamours to become a Santa. Partway in, a woman screams for her daughter 'Emily', who has disappeared.
  • Notes: All square zones have border:1 to move to another, due to the foot traffic and Santa mob.

Christmas Knight

  • Location: Wherever they end up
  • Participants: Pete Black
  • Setup: Pete thanks them for their help, gives them a token of Santa's appreciation: a sprig of holly (let's them call upon Christmas magic once).

Scenes (Christmas Day)

  • Jed and Daisy have closer connection than they have in years.
  • Solomon and Eva enjoy the love potion until it wears out at dawn on Sunday.
  • Grace catches up with Tolliver, reconnecting.
  • Deirdre is invited back to Gideon's for a lustrous Christmas dinner.

Bad News

  • Location: Daisy's shop (Sunday morning)
  • Participants: Jed McGraw, Daisy Mae McGraw
  • Setup: Jed tells Daisy that Tim died, gives her the Seal of Solomon, and heads home for the funeral.

Awkward

Good News

  • Location: Tolliver's house (Sunday morning)
  • Participants: Grace Pritchard, Tolliver Pritchard
  • Setup: Grace isn't packed, informs Tolliver she's going to stick around for a while, enjoy San Francisco.
