Gary Phelan
From Gothpoodle
Wolf-Blooded Bar Owner
Gary is married to Kate and they have two children, Sean (16) and Kelsi (14). He is the elder brother to Janice, Michael, Sean, and Lynn. He runs Doyle's, the bar in Inner Sunset where the uptown Phelan congregate, with his wife and son.
Description
A stocky Caucasian man in his early 40s with short graying red hair and full beard, crooked nose, blue eyes, and a light tan. He wears a green flannel shirt over a white t-shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots. His wedding ring is always on his finger and an expensive watch on his right wrist (a gift from his wife on their tenth anniversary). He is soft-spoken but firm, even a bit harsh.
Storytelling Hints
Gary is a quiet man, dedicated to his family, who enjoys boating on the weekends. He is, secretly, happy for the distance he has from Uratha affairs and is nervous as his children come of age. He doesn't let his siblings give him shit, even if they are werewolves, and runs a tight, strict ship at Doyle's. He has no desire for the place to be destroyed by a fight and so errs on the side of caution (some would say paranoia).

Background
Gary was the only one of his siblings who saw the aftermath of the Castro War and decided that he didn't want to be directly involved with the world of the Uratha. He was happy, after many tense years, not to Change and was content to serve the family by taking over Doyle's from his uncle Sean, a Korean war vet. He has happily run the bar since he was twenty and fell in love five years later with his wife, Kate, a distant cousin. He enjoys the neighborhood, his friends and family, and the lifestyle the bar lets him enjoy.
