The original Fire-Touched pack in San Francisco, the Keepers settled into the area now known as the Tenderloin in the Barbary days and made a pact with the powerful spirit of destructive flame that had formed from the multiple city-destroying fires during the Gold Rush. They also established the local branch of the Church of the Lighthouse, being members of the Lodge of Fevered Light, and the organization has grown and served the pack well in the intervening years. The suffered a setback during the Castro War, when the Tribes of the Moon were able to learn the name of the Great Fire, which acted as the confederacy’s totem, and when the woke it during the 1989 earthquake, it was summoned and shackled in an unknown location. They are still working to find the spirit and a means to destroy the bindings.
