God Man
From Gothpoodle
Fire-Touched
Formerly a Bone Shadow Elodath, he was lured into the Fire-Touched after the death of his alpha in June 2008.
Description
Hishu
A bald black man in his mid-30s with wild eyes, a large infectious smile, and large hands. He wears a white button-down shirt, threadbare black slacks, and worn steel-toed work boots. He is missing half of his left ear and has a long scar from there around to the back of his head. He has a tattoo of a cat’s eye on the back of his right hand, which is missing its pinky. He often carries a walking stick while preaching.
Urhan
A rabid black timber wolf.
Storytelling Hints
God Man has amazing presence, such that people who might usually ignore the crazy homeless preacher will often stop and listen for a minute. While charismatic and genuinely friendly, though, he is also deeply disturbed and will hold long conversations with people who aren’t there (as well as conversations with invisible things which are) and often act violent and irrationally. He doesn’t take well to blasphemy or any obvious and destructive sins. He doesn’t have many friends among the addicts because of his tendency to snatch their crack pipes and syringes and grind them beneath his heel. Similarly, an incident or two involving hitting prostitutes upside the head with his preaching stick have limited allies in that quarter. God Man loves the members of his pack without question or reservation.

Background
Leonard Jeffries was a student in Theology with a bright future before his schitzophrenia began to manifest during his sophmore year at college. A quiet, private man with few friends at school, his affliction went unnoticed except as reflected in his grades, which lost him his scholarship and got him kicked out of school. He ended up on the streets and was deteriorating quickly when he began to get a deep sense that something was wrong with the world. He looked at the people around him and began to try and "fix" them, mainly by putting them on the right course. His First Change came when he happened upon a rape in progress. The voices and hallucinations and his new condition all came into sync and he knew what was happening to him. He was God's chosen, his prophet and his warrior, here to right wrongs among the least of his children, those most in need of help. He spent his days preaching on the street corners and his nights hunting those who preyed on the weak. It was on one of his patrols that he came across Angel, a kindred soul, another of the chosen. The two of them lived the life of the righteous until Papa came. Papa told them a story of what they were and Leonard accepted it, because he knew Papa was good, though he believes his own story, too. Holding two contradictory views is very easy for him now and doesn't bother him at all. His routine is much the same, but with some added duties and Papa's firm guiding hand to make sure he stays on the path. Of late, however, he has been approached by the Fire-Touched, who he feels understand his task even better than Papa, but he is too loyal to his pack to betray them. Should his pack ever be killed, though, he would almost definitely defect to the Pure.
