The Rainbow Guard formed in the 80s in response to the threat posed by AIDS and the Beshilu, disease-spirits, and Fire-Touched encouraging its spread. While the heaviest fighting of this battle is done, there is still a lot of spiritual fallout to deal with and so the pack opted to become permanent, taking the predominantly gay neighborhoods around Castro Street where the infestation centered as their territory, carved from often ignored parts of the territory of the Iron Dragons, Caballeros Dolores, and Mist Walkers.
