The Sons of Remus are inheritors of an ancient Pure blasphemy that adapts the story of Romulus and Remus into werewolf mythology. In the story, the two figures are the sole progeny of Father Wolf and Mother Luna. According to their legends, Romulus killed his father rather than his brother and both sons were cursed by their mother, Romulus for having committed the act and Remus for failing to stop him. Romulus did it in order to live as a human and built his city in order to facilitate this. Remus chose to live according to his father's legacy and left to raise his children in the true way of the hunter and the wild. Tyrone's father was the previous Alpha and was slain by the Caballeros Dolores and the two packs have been engaged in a blood war ever since, but the Sons also find time to harry the Mist Walkers to their west and conduct raids into the territory of the Rainbow Guard, for whom they hold particular derision.
