Servants of the Great Fire

The eldest of the San Francisco Pure packs, the Servants have been dedicated to the spiritual forces allied against the city's inhabitants since the Barbary Coast days, encouraging the diseases, fires, and earthquakes which rocked the new city. Thought to have been destroyed after the 1906 Earthquake, they merely went underground, gathering their power and influence in preparation for another bid to bring down the city. Their chance came with the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s, when they were able to draw enough Essence to briefly rouse the Earth Dragon in 1989. Ultimately they failed, mostly due to the efforts of the Rainbow Guard, who were the first to discover signs of their work and work to undermine them. They have been warring with them ever since, fighting over territory in SOMA, and have suffered quite a few losses from them and the efforts of the Iron Dragons to their north.
