Background

Jerome was born in the midst of the Depression, the son of a prostitute whose still held enough religious conviction to not get rid of the child, and was raised in the brothel as their mascot and, eventually, as a bouncer. His greed got the better of him and he killed the owner and took over as a pimp in his own right, aggressively recruiting street kids, drug addicts, and runaways. His success was noted by Mia when she moved into the neighborhood and she systematically ruined his life before approaching him with one last chance out before the police put him away. He accepted (1950) and found himself liking the money and power. He quickly took to his new life and its lack of moral restraints but developed a high degree of paranoia as a result of his quick loss of humanity and the rigors of vampiric society. He obtained his job as archon when Cesare Vincenzio needed extra hands to deal with the Calun pack. He proved to be excellent muscle and the role of law enforcement officer for the damned tickled him and appealed to his paranoia.

Recent Events

He and his sire have always had a rocky relationship. They don't trust each other and rely solely on their shared business interests to give them a platform for cooperating. Still, they have grown apart and now maintain separate operations. They used to coordinate more, with Jerome acting as procurer for her when she needed particular girls for her role as Groom or her brothel, but since she embraced Dmitri, he has grown wary of the decreased reliance and expects her to betray him, so he's been quietly gathering information on their operations to use against them, should the winds blow that way.
