Description

Hishu

A compact Hispanic man in his late 40s with short dark hair, a well-trimmed mustache, brown eyes, and light skin. He wears western style shirts in dark colors with jeans and cowboy boots. He often wears a cowboy hat and a denim jacket when it is cool.

Urhan

A compact brown and black wolf with a white spot in the middle of his chest.

Storytelling Hints

Chucho is filled with the pain of what he has done but the firm conviction that it needed to be. This is his approach to life now. He is not happy with the lengths he must go to, but is sure that there is no other way. He is fond of humanity, but they are corrupt and their sickness is infecting the world. Father Wolf would not want his children to act as policemen as the world decayed around them, he would want them to take action and do what needed to be done. He does not come off as judgmental or fanatical, just sure of himself and filled with sorrow that it must be this way.

Background

Forsaken

Jesus was born to one of the thin-blooded branches of the Aguirre family and nobody expected him to be anything but good breeding stock. He was quickly introduced to and married Carmela Montillo, one of the daughters of the Caballeros's ritemaster, fresh blood for the old family. They had three children very young with Jesus working as a carpenter to support them after dropping out of school. A man of deep faith, he rejected his family's criminal business and refused to take part in any way. When he went through his First Change, it took the family by surprise and what had been an awkward impasse became a serious problem. Matters weren't helped when he failed the Storm Lord initiation rite. Out of shame and anger, he refused to take it again and also resisted the urging of his father-in-law to try to become a Blood Talon. Instead, he stayed a Ghost Wolf. He continued to spurn the family's illegal activities, which was hard on his family, as his duties made regular work difficult. Out of faith, he persisted. His Catholicism changed to incorporate the story of Father Wolf and Mother Luna and he remained a man of principle. When Jason Hellstrom was caught within the pack's territory, it was he who found him and brought him back to his cousin. As he listened, he was unswayed by Jason's tales of mistreatment for his sinful sexual proclivities, but noted the seeming dedication of his family. Out of a sense of compassion, he made brief contact with the Hellstroms and told them their child was safe. As the weeks went on and plans were made to attack the pack, he was bothered by the lack of concern for the Oath and how cavalier they were about ambushing fellow Uratha. So, he contacted them again, this time allowing himself to be drawn into a conversation out of a need to know whether these people were as evil as their wayward son had made them out to be. Much of what they said made sense to him. Their dedication to purity seemed admirable and he couldn't deny his own family was closely tied to the worst, most corrupt aspects of humanity. The world seemed sick, in many ways, and it was easy for him to see AIDS as a means for the powers of the universe to try and cleanse a diseased people. When the plans for the war party were made, he informed them so that they might prepare themselves. Instead, the ambush occurred and his alpha lay dead, as long as several other Forsaken. This time, the Hellstroms approached him and told him he was in too deep to change his mind, that it was only a matter of time before his packmates knew of his betrayal. With no other choice, he left his family and joined the Pure, becoming one of the Fire-Touched. He was sent to the Keepers of the First Flame because his sympathies to his old pack were still too strong to trust him during the war. What doubts he had lessened under their initiation and the results of the Castro War, which left the Hellstrom pack slaughtered, as he had feared.

Pure

With his renown brands burned off, Chucho threw himself into his new life as a means to prove to himself that he had made the right choices and his packmates have helped reinforce this belief. He has proved to be a strong member of the pack, becoming a better werewolf than he had been before. He admits to himself that his envy of his cousin Pascual had a role in his dissatisfaction before but believes strongly that he left them due to their lack of purity, though the betrayal of his pack still stings him and his new family understands and emphasizes. He quickly fell into a relationship with an attentive wolf-blooded member of the Church and has had another child, Angelina, who has just Changed. He is very proud of her and wishes she could know her half-brothers, who he sorely misses. He has found his place as ritemaster (practically priest) of the pack and all of its members trust him implicitly. He works at Johansson's Bakery and is the primary tender of the First Flame.
