Background

The Barghest is one of the MacLellan Clan’s ancestral guardian spirit, brought with them from the highlands when they came to America. It faithfully guards the locus and patrols the basement of the house, to such an extent that the mortal family consider it an apparition and avoid the lower level except when gathering for initiation rituals, which is just as they want it. It is brother to Black Dog.
