- Daisy summons the ghost of Randal Gray with an artifact Tolliver had stashed.
- Paul calls Tolliver to say he'll be over after breakfast with what he found in disclosure.
- Eva retrieves Jean's Xbox for him and delivers it to Solomon's apartment.
- Daisy goes home, stops Larry from fucking Tina, puts him in charge of the store and sends her to her room.
- Tolliver spends the evening at his club, radiating his disdain for the charges against him.
- Amy's Persian prostitute shows up and Daisy lets Tina have at her. Daisy watches movies with Bob.

- Tolliver and Eva sit with Paul and go over the evidence against him and counter-evidence. He'll arrange for the line-up with the housekeeper at 3pm.
- Eva finds Vicki in her office and resists the urge to tell her where Nicole is.
- Tina runs away during her lunch break, Daisy sternly fetches her from the Armory.
- Eva sticks Baron Criminal in Tolliver for the lineup and the housekeeper picks the wrong person.
- Eva and Tolliver swing by Daisy's shop, Larry is there talking to Bob.
- Daisy rousts Larry from having sex with Tina again, his potion homunculus dissolves, and she ends up with his left-behind oilskin duster.
- At Tolliver's, Max Raith is out front with the reporters, demanding to be allowed to speak with his daughter.
- Tolliver invites in reporters from the Chronicle and Examiner while Eva and Daisy dump freezing rain on Max and the journalists.
- Nicky comes off well, the Chronicle reporter is more objective than the Examiner reporter, who is more moved and asks for a photo to accompany.
- Deirdre hits Max with lightning and he leaves, looking to kill. Argument ensues about whether to escalate further.
- Scry on Max and see him, Vicki, and two thugs in a car on the Oakland Bay Bridge.
- Deirdre calls her mom and Eva tells Solomon to take Jean and Jeanette and get out.
- Vicki notices the scrying in front of Solomon's apartment building and makes Tolliver turn it off.
- Daisy does a new divination and sees Max beating up Nicky's mother, tells Vicki to send her a picture and a note, and has his thugs drag her off.
- Max gets to the docks, threatens to drown the mother unless they stop scrying.
- Dierdre goes and calls 911 from a nearby hotel to try and get the police to the docks (but fails, because she's calling from SF).
- Bob says that Roycroft considers it a local matter, but has informed the FBI, who put out an APB on the license plate for a suspected kidnapping.
- Tolliver asks his PIs to rush to get a list of boats owned by Raith or his company.
- Deirdre asks Nicky if her father owns a boat, she tells them about the Song of Pan.
- Eva calls Vicki's cell and gets an appointment to meet at Gary's in an hour.
- Deirdre parlays with selkies for assistance if they need to storm the boat.
- Eva, Daisy, and Tolliver meet with Vicki at Gary's. (Gail, Dr. Lazarus, Poor Larry, and Lester are here.)
- Daisy tries to convince Larry to wait until Tina's compulsion wears off, gives him back his coat.
- Pow wow at Tolliver's about how to lure Max out to kill him.
- End with Minor Milestone.
