Madam Lady Mia Asensi, Nosferatu Priscus and Groom

Storytelling Hints

Lady Mia is capable of incredible duplicity, being a natural actor and consumate liar. She generally appears to be congenial, though with the cold predatory edge befitting her low humanity, but underneath is a penchance for cruelty, jealousy, and the ability to hold grudges and enact revenge over decades. She feels herself exalted both by her efforts, her vampirism, and her membership in the Invictus. She is considerate of other Invictus members as a matter of practicality but considers other vampires as barbarians and humans as animals. Lately, chinks have revealed themselves in her façade as she’s gone off a few times in irrational, paranoid rants at people, revealing her degeneration to her fellows.

Stats

  • Titles of Tribute: Lady (1951)
  • Titles of Function: Priscus (1940), Groom (1940)
  • Haven: Victorian house in the Tenderloin (brothel)
  • Domain: Tenderloin
  • Family: Jerome Bousquet (childe), Dmitri Gurevich (childe)
  • Virtue: Fortitude
  • Vice: Envy
  • Humanity: 2 (Irrationality, Narcissism, Suspicion)
  • Blood Potency: 3
  • Advantages: Mia has contacts throughout the black market and avenues for smuggling from most of Asia, Mexico, and parts of South America. While her personal interest is with the human cargo, her network focuses mostly on drugs and weapons, which has let her build up quite a lot of personal wealth. Her trade is a bit more risky than most Invictus care for, but her overconfidence prevents her from properly assessing such things.

Background

Mia was born to prostitution in Mexico (1877) and was brought to El Paso (1891) to ply her trade in a state of practical slavery, which she did for years while plotting the death of her owner. When she killed him, it was swift and brutal and, rather than escaping, she took control of his operation and ran it herself. This drew the attention of a silent partner in the venture, a Nosferatu whom he had been supplying with women for events. Observing her ruthlessness, resilience, and ambition, he decided to embrace her (1900). She served for two decades as his paige and then left the city to make her own way, settling briefly in Pheonix (1920) and then for a longer span in Los Angeles (1925) before making her way to San Francisco (1940). She decide to remain because of the recent instability in 1935 and the hopes that she could leverage this into personal gain. Her service to the Prince and her covenant has been exemplary and earned her title of tribute (1951). Secretly, though, she’s been plotting the downfall of the House of Pullus and the eclipse of Charles has provided her the opportunity to set her plans in motion. She has no designs on the Princehood for herself, but hopes to grab more power and a larger domain during the chaos that will ensue.

Recent Events

The Groom is concentrating her scheming of late on the Reeve, who has become rather dependant on her services and left one mess for her to clean up so far. She hopes to manipulate him into turning against his patrons or at least use him to get intelligence on them (which has already given her some tidbits on the new Prince).
