Chiefdoms based around hereditary patriarch, tribute and luxury goods, slavery, religion justifies ruler, centralized justice and ownership.

Hunter-gatherer bands based around matriarchal family, mother and sons central, meet regularly, no mating, social sex, omnivorous.
Tribal villages based around matriarchal clans, practice all sorts of agriculture, herding, and fishing, settlements around the river.
Chiefdoms based around hereditary matriarch, tribute and luxury goods, religion justifies nobility, centralized justice and ownership.
Single chiefdom based around high matriarch, division of labor and public architecture, bureaucracy, paramount village.
