Nicolas is the nephew of Lucas and uncle to Catherina. He is also the heir-apparent, much to Susana Vizcaya's irritation.

Background
Nicolas is the brains behind Netelligence, the one who convinced his uncle that investment of family funds in the rapidly expanding internet sphere was vital to expansion of their resources and the one who pulled them through the bursting of the bubble. He is one of the few members of the family with a degree and has always possessed the proper mix of smarts and dedication to master anything he puts his mind to. When he Changed, he was happy to take the neglected position of lorekeeper on top of the duties of ritemaster and has thrown himself into the lore of the Uratha just as he did the intricacies of business and computers. While he knows his uncle is disappointed that he hasn't spent more time training with his cousins to fight, he is happy to please him in the ways that more suit his interests and temperament. He has become a little wary of Susana as the years have progressed because of her hostility towards the possibility that he may replace her father, but generally is loyal to the family and would do anything to increase their fortunes. Nicolas married late, due to his years at college, but has six children, the eldest of whom are approaching the age when they might Change and he is very excited at the prospect.
