- Location: Victorian House in Pacific Heights
- Participants: Kindle, Special Agent MacNeil, Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds, Kendrick, Dubois, Homeless Ghouls, Auctioneer, Random Borderline-In-The-Know Weirdos, and Ms. Trimble
- Zones: Auction Room (two parts), Hallway, Bathroom, Office, Back Room, Backyard, Alleyway
- Complications: Social conflict with the cops or questioning people, chase scene with ghouls
Scene: Failed Hand-Off
- Location: Alleyway in Tenderloin
- Participants: Ghouls, Cultist
- Zones: Alley (two parts), Fire Escape, Roof, Other Roof, Street, Abandoned Store Back Room, Abandoned Store Front
- Complications: The books aren't here, the ghouls are shaking down the cultist for more bodies
Log
- Meet at Tolliver's club to discuss the books and how to deal with them.
- Auction disrupted by ghouls, two killed, two captured, one escapes.
- The two captured are killed after interrogation, MacNeil covers them leaving.
- Stake out rendezvous spot, watch shake-down and mysterious woman leave, capture the ghoul king and arrange to pay him handsomely for the book.
- Ghoul king doesn't show up, track him to a sewer where he's mortally wounded with hell-lightning, put him out of his misery.
- End with Minor Milestone.
