In 1935, a member of the [[:Category:MacLellans|Clan]] named Gerald refused to kill his second daughter to change, Susan, as per their ancestor spirit’s ban. He was slain by the spirit and his pack for his refusal, but the rest of his kin decided to leave the pack and started their own in Pacific Heights. The two branches of the family have been on cool terms, but cannot deny their blood ties when one or the other is in need of help. They are not orthodox Ivory Claws and generally less traditional. The current pack is composed almost entirely with Susan’s grandchildren, except for Lily MacLellan. This branch of the family was cut off from most of the MacLellan family resources but has rebuilt their influence in their new territory. They have strong ties to the Northern Station of the Metro Division police, which patrols the Western Addition, Pacific Heights, Japantown, Polk Gulch, Russian Hill and the Marina. They also own Black Dog Security, a firm which provides security systems and personnel to many of the businesses in the city, including most of the banks. It employs many police officers and has a reputation for being police-friendly on the job, which has earned it many friends and contacts within local government and law enforcement circles.
