Description

Hishu

A broad-chested Caucasian man in his mid 50s with long grey hair and full beard, pale skin, and pale blue eyes. He generally wears a black cossack with heavy boots and conceals his knife under it along with his cult talisman, a piece of a claw on a thong. He tends to smell of candle wax, wood polish, and dust.

Storytelling Hints

Stan speaks with a honeyed tongue and an intimidating demeanor. He is adept at being both frightening and inspiring. He seems possessed of incredible faith and confidence. He is forthright in manner, harsh towards those who lack faith or strength but ultimately willing to let people who fail prove themselves. He tends his branch of the Church with a much lighter hand than the others, eschewing the spirit-ridden and use of disease to keep the congregation in line. He prefers to use his own charisma to the same effect.

Background

Stanislav Kuchinskaya and his sister were born to Russian immigrants with a small pack working out of an Orthodox church in Richmond, where they tended their congregation of the Church of the Lighthouse. Stan was raised to the church and proved to have a knack for the duties of a priest and the instincts of a ritemaster. While his sister is more dedicated to the cult, Stan gives equal credence to both of his lodges. He sees humanity as a useful tool and ally, particularly given the small size of their pack. He doesn't begrudge his sister or daughter their dedication to the cult, though. He is happy to tend to the church by himself. While his sister never married, Stan took a human wife out of the congregation and they had seven children. Only Maia changed, but the rest of them are devoted members of the church and strong allies. He is very open about what he is to his family and they revere him as a saint.
