Madame Lady Ronny Lang, Minister and Player

Storytelling Hints

Ronny lives for the praise and accolades of others. Fortunately, this doesn’t come across in her manner, which is both confident and gracious. She is careful to avoid any involvement in Invictus politics, preferring to be the message-bearer and entertainer. To many, her lack of (political) ambition is refreshing and most of the Kindred in the city are quite fond of her.

Background

Ronny was born (1912) to a poor family with only a remarkable voice to distinguish her from her peers. She sang on street corners for change during the day and was forced into prostitution during the nights to help support her family. When the Depression came, the situation grew even more dire and her more lucrative profession eclipsed her art. As luck would have it, her employer rented her to Joanna Prescott for an event and the Daeva recognized her talent. The choice was simple and she was embraced (1932) and served her mistress for almost two decades, during which time she demonstrated a knack for language and an excellent memory. Her talents were related to the Prince who agreed to take her service as Minister (1950) in return for the slight her mistress did him in 1935. She proved so adept at the position that she was granted a title of tribute (1978) and became a favorite of the Prince’s at court functions. Such was his approval that he allowed the embrace of her childe at the unprecedented age of fifteen.

Recent Events

Lady Lang isn’t as fond of the new Prince as she was of Charles and is having trouble adjusting to his lack of interest in the arts. She’s begun to spend more time with her sire attempting to learn her function and tending to the education of her childe. If the new Prince won’t provide her with a venue to perform, she figures she will just have to start arranging her own.
