Has a lot of allies in his work. His home has Legendary (+8) wards and a Great (+4) threshold that keep the dragon in as well as people out. The dragon's home also has an Epic (+7) veil.
He was an apprentice in the order that served Ao Qin when they decided that his studies had made him dangerous and unstable and bound him. All of the senior members died in the effort, leaving Kwan to bring the subdued and limited Ao Qin to San Francisco. He taught himself the best he could from the books and ghosts of his mentors and has grown to be a powerful Taoist Alchemist in his own right, though he never managed to master evocation or develop Wizard Sight and isn't a competent teacher.
