Luis is a consummate performer with a strong presence and carefully contrived manner, making him rather adept at vampiric society and politics. While many disapprove of his Embrace and relationship with his sire, few can fault him for his talents and some think he would flourish if not for the unhealthy bond with the Baroness.

Background

Luis was a radical performance artist whose tastes in BDSM went to the extreme, including knife and blood play which led to his infection with AIDS in the 80s. When he finally got HIV in the early 90s, he hid the fact from everyone in his life but his patron, Joanna, whose abilities drew the fact out of him. She offered him the chance to avoid death and continue his old life before he was too far along to hide his illness and he agreed (1995). The two began a passionate and volatile love affair laced with power struggles between and within the two of them. Eventually, she settled into the role of submissive, craving it as a way to assuage her religious guilt, while he has just become obsessed by her. He considers their meeting fated and worships her like a goddess. His insistence on drinking her blood has led to an addiction and viniculum, only adding to his fervor.

Recent Events

As their relationship has grown deeper and the power situation more defined, slips in public have clued others into the dynamics of the relationship. Many suspect him of having regnancy over his sire but none suspect the truth. Most, however, disapprove of their relationship and see it as unbalancing and, thus, dangerous.
