Greater Jaggling, Conceptual Spirit, Emotional Choir

Liberal Anxiety formed when Dark Man consumed The Man. It controls the Dark Alley.

Description

It appears as a silhouette whose shape reflects the fears of whomever is viewing it. Whatever the form may be, it radiates pure menace and is perfect silent with no distinguishing features.

Storytelling Hints

Liberal Anxiety is an embodiment of the fear the liberal middle class holds for the appetites and violence of the lower class. It is the feminist's archetypal rapist, the activist's model of police corruption, and the shifting image of mugger, burgler, and molester. It seeks, above all, to instill fear in those it preys on and to drive lust and violence into the hearts of those it influences.

Background

The Dark Man was a spirit of rape, primarily the fear of it, and the lust which drives people to chance it in dark places where there is no escape. He has lurked in the city since the Barbary Coast days, slowly gaining power, and was drawn to the Haight in the 60s, when desperation, poverty, and ideals of free love encouraged risky sexual encounters and it hasn’t had reason to leave since. It feeds primarily off of the street kids who flock to the neighborhood and end up in a life of prostitution and drug use. At the beginning of April 2007, it consumed The Man, a spirit of police violence and grew to become a Greater Jaggling. Now it demands more violent violations and drives those it influences to greater violence when engaged in rape. He is a spirit of the dark side of humanity, the offenses they commit against their fellow man when out of sight.
