Background

Liam was a changeling, his mother was a rusalka who seduced and killed his father. When he was born, he was left to the man's family to raise. He was always frail and unhealthy, but eerily beautiful and possessing of a fierce cunning. He also was very wicked up until his family had him baptized, out of desperation, after which time he settled down. He was a well-liked and happy child until he turned eighteen, at which time his mother came to reclaim him and took him away to the Nevernever. Maeve immediately took a fondness to him and soon they became lovers. However, she lost his heart in a bet with Rowan. It was removed by the Summer Knight, Dierdre Donovan, and Maeve replaced it with a heart of ice, making him the new Winter Knight.
