This spirit concerns itself with blurring the lines between genders as well as undermining those definitions. It is drawn not to people who identify with one sex or the other, regardless of whether it is their own, but those people who don't recognize the boundaries at all and borrow elements from either gender to suit themselves.

Background

Genderfuck was born of groups like the Cockettes and Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence who seek to blur the lines between genders. It has freely ranged the city, from experimental theaters in North Beach, to Haight-Ashbury communes, to the clubs of the Castro. While it isn't a member of Haight's brood, it is very friendly to it and acted as ambassador between it and Castro before the war. Now, it is one of those spirits helping to revitalize the Castro, with the help of its fellow ideological spirits.
