Blood Talon Cahalith (Lodge of Silence, Lodge of Quetzal)

Description

Hishu

A grim, built Hispanic man in his early 50s with short black hair, dark brown eyes, and medium toned skin marked with a number of small scars. He wears blue shirts with the sleeves rolled up, jeans, and cowboy boots. In bad weather, he wears a tan trenchcoat and a SF 49ers ball cap. He has two dozen small diamonds (Mercy Gem) tattooed around his neck, a boar (Mask of Life) on his right bicep, his brother (My Brother's Shadow) on his left bicep, and a large jaguar in a jungle (Jaguar's Fury) on his back.

Urhan

A small but burly black wolf with graying ears and tail. When using Anybeast, he generally appears as a large stray dog or a jaguar (when he's trying to instill fear).

Storytelling Hints

Frank is a hard man whose attempts to better the world have cost him everything. The only thing that keeps him going is the belief that somebody has to do it. Now, more than before, because to give up would mean that his pack died for nothing. He is a careful and calculated man, though, and can bide his time and keep his tongue, when needed. The blood on his hands pains him but he'll see the fight through, even if it costs him his soul.

Background

Francisco Valencia was the child of illegal immigrants who came to the United States with their pack in the 50s and roamed the Central Valley with the migrant workers, fighting against the members of the Brotherhood of Crossed Swords with interests there by working with the unions and other workers' organizations. After Frank changed, though, he pursued a larger target: the drug trade. Having grown up in the late 60s, he recognized the Brotherhood's hand in the drug trade from Mexico and saw in it the same sort of evil that they had perpetrated before in order to achieve their aims. He convinced his younger brother Miguel of his cause and they went to San Francisco where they spent years learning all they could about the local drug trade and managed to recruit another member of the Lodge from Sacremento, Celina Portillo, to join them by the time they began operations in the late 70s. In a few short years, they managed to seriously disrupt the Aguirre drug and gun network through robberies and terrorism. They became infamous as bandits robbing drug dealers throughout the city for the money to fund their operation. Frank gained the nickname "The Jaguar" from the tattoo on his back.

Eventually, however, the Caballeros caught up with them and, in the ensuing fight, Frank killed Violeta and Rodrigo Aguirre (Don Aguirre's sister and first cousin). Ignacio was able to use his resources to make sure that Frank and Miguel were arrested and convicted of the two deaths while Celina fled to San Jose to avoid repercussions and was killed by Nortenos gang members. While inside, the two brothers joined the Lodge of Silence but Miguel proved unable to cope and Frank was forced to kill him ten years into their sentence. While inside, Frank became a respected elder of the Lodge of Silence and continued to work against the Brotherhood's interests by disrupting the prison drug trade and sending anonymous tips to the authorities about the operations of the Brotherhood backed gangs. His twenty-five year sentence is ending and he is making plans to rebuild his organization and recruit a new pack once he is back on the street.
