Counterculture is its core a contrary spirit unable to be respectful of boundaries. It seeks to undermine rules, encourage dissent, and forment revolution. To this end, it often forces its way into the material world and takes hold of a human in order to drive them to break free from the restrictions of their life.

Background

Counterculture is a spirit of revolutionary ideology without respect to the whys and wherefores, it merely is a force of change from the current system, whatever it may be. It was birthed in North Beach during the Beat Generation and moved to the Haight in the 60s, where it has lived ever since. It often uses its numina to attend protests and demonstrations. It is loosely affiliated with the Pink Elephant Commune, but is too contrary to work with them for long.
