Find themselves in a desert canyon on the road to Sin City with a hob called 'The Metalsmith'.
Carl offers to carry the hob's pack if he'll help him find a place to buy clothes.
Enter the Bazaar and are directed to a cave leading to the city underneath and the shop of the Haberdasher near the Gate of Pride.
Encounter Mr. Fortune, stop him from bringing a showgirl through the gate, and are found by Jangling Jack.
Taken by Jack to the Halfway House, where they meet Fat Betty and are given clothes, drinks, and food.
Go out into Las Vegas to see what the world is like.
- Carl and Jasmine encounter Lily the Lush after hitting the bank.
- Jack Spade meets Lucky Kate at a casino.
- Jasmine busks and Jack and Carl gamble.
Return to the Halfway House and are taken by Betty to see John Noir.
Discover that Noir and Spade were partners before they were taken and that Spade's fetch was a serial killer of fetches.
John looks up Carl and Jasmine's fetches.
John takes them to the Homeless Shelter to find Lily.
Jasmine talks to Lily and lulls her to sleep with music.
John takes them back to the Halfway House to sleep.

Betty feeds them and takes them to the Hall of Dawn and Dusk to meet the monarchs and receive notice they have three days to choose a court.
Accompany Leo and Sirocco to his lavish hollow palace to talk to him at length about the Day Court.
Betty takes them to Back-Alley Sam's clinic, where they encounter Jeopardy Jake.
Carl wastes time until dusk, then goes to the Dark Side Nightclub and meets Marble Marv and Dame Anastasia, who hires him to work as a bouncer.
Jack goes with John to the Corpse House to talk to Ophelia and then shopping.
Jasmine heads to the Starlight Casino to meet Digital Dave...
