St. Mary is quietly supportive and incapable of admitting defeat. She will always encourage people to keep trying and refuse to accept evidence of ultimate failure. She has been known to use her numina to keep patients alive well past when they should have died, in order to continue to engender hope in the family and friends who visit her. She does not care for quality of life or proper closure, so long as hope is maintained.

Background
St. Mary is a relatively young spirit who has slowly gained strength feeding off of the hope of those using the Meditation Room at St. Mary’s Hospital. Her small locus has largely escaped detection as its resonance isn’t compatible with most of the rest of the spirits there. She remains generally unaware of the world outside her home and also isn’t aware she needs to tithe the city spirit.
