Greater Gaffling, Artificial Spirit, Object Choir

Description

A simple, worn record which communicates in bits of songs. It never moves, but “hops” to the location of other physical records when it wishes to be elsewhere. The time it takes to switch is roughly equal to what its movement rate would suggest, during which it fades out in one place and in at the other.

Storytelling Hints

Psychedelic Rock seeks to inspire, delight, and otherwise cause emotional responses in others. It isn’t above using its numina for this purpose and tends to drift around record stores subtly pushing the patrons towards the old 60s bins. It is very hostile towards spirits of cassette tapes, 8-tracks, and CDs, as well as modern technology in general.

Background

Originally the spiritual reflection of a much loved copy of the eponymous Doors album, Psychedelic Rock is now an embodiment of the records which created the soundtrack for the hippie era. While it isn’t an emotional spirit, it has close ties to them and many of its numina might give the impression it is. In the end, however, it is a spirit of records and nothing more.
