• Melissa Chen (Mastigos)

Suffered an intensely difficult Awakening in her twenties, while in business school at Berkeley, that had her in a coma for over a week, during which she faced and defeated her weaknesses, arriving bloody and triumphant at the tower. When she woke up, she was a new person. Driven, confident, and possessing of a certainty that she was chosen by trial. She was approached by the Seers and accepted their offer to join the order. She believes that she has earned the right to rule and is jealous of her position. She manipulates others to her ends and does all she can to assure that others cannot follow her path. Political and business consultant, coordinator of cabal, spy and cleaner.

• Dorthea Cross (Obrimos)

She returned believing that she had seen the face of God and been chosen to protect humanity from the dangers of the unseen world. She finds the occult to be blasphemous and helps to suppress the supernatural because it might harm Sleepers. She sees her Awakening as a religious revelation and despises those mages with occult or supernatural styles as dabblers in black arts for personal gain. She has always counted the Benendanti as allies, but recognizes that they dabble in sorcery which she doesn’t approve of, so she keeps her distance and doesn’t share information with them. Investigative reporter and occult debunker.
