- Riverbend Castle - castle on the river at the midpoint of the valley, knight's fee, motte, square stone keep, and moat
- Oakridge Tower - castle on a ledge overlooking the elf wood, knight's fee, wooden keep
- Trollwatch Castle - castle near Edgemoor, knight's fee, motte, circular stone keep, wooden palisade, and moat

- Beaver Creek - tributary stream draining cranberry bog
- Cider Creek - tributary stream running through Applebottom
- Cranberry Bog - wetlands surrounding Snipe Island
- Eel Creek - tributary stream running through Eel Gully
- Honeybrook - tributary stream running through Edgemoor
- Otter Creek - tributary stream running out of the elf wood and through the village of the same name
- Rose River - named for the wild roses on its banks, the main stream running through the Glen, its headwaters are on the other side of the Troll Moor
- Rowanbrook - tributary stream of Otter Creek running through the village of the same name
- Sugar Creek - tributary stream running through Mapledell
- Tarnfall Creek - tributary stream running out of the tarn with a waterfall
Calendar
This is the halfling calendar that was in place when humans first came to the valley. It was adopted by the human farmers and stuck. Months are 4 weeks, 28 days long. Seasons start on the equinox/solstice. New moon is the first day of the month, full moon is the 15th, half moons on the 8th and 22nd.

- Orcs: Random bands raiding by land during the night, hole up in secluded dales
- Undead: The old dwarven city is riddled with undead
- Ogres and Hill Giants: Throughout the hills, often work for the goblins
- Griffins: A pride of griffins lives in a specific set of hills
- Kobolds: Under the mountains of the north and the elf wood
- Werewolf: Edge of elf wood
- Stone Giants: Tribe in the mountains to the north, enemies of the frost giants
- Black Dragon: Lairs in the boggiest part of the moor
- Green Dragon: Lairs in the elf wood
- White Dragon: Hunts in the coldest part of winter along the fjord
- Hippogriffs: Flight of hippogriffs lair in the hills surrounding the moor
