Gangrel Elder
The Good Alder Reginald Knox, Viscount of Pacific Heights, Judex, and Advisor.
Storytelling Hints
Reginald is a shrewd, even-tempered man with an eye for details. He enjoys physical activities and is an avid horseback rider, hunter, and marksman with land throughout the Bay Area for these pursuits. He is known to host “hunting lodge†style gatherings of Kindred at his estates every year or two and it is at these events that most of his efforts as Judex are expended. He has a rich sense of humor though it takes a lot to get him going.

Background
Reginald Knox (1730) was a Scottish mercenary who fought in the French and Indian War and then stayed on as a prospector and fur-trader, operating in the Indian Territory. His success and skill drew the attention of a Gangrel who drew him into his own enterprise, testing him until he felt certain of his potential. He accepted the embrace (1778) after being badly injured during the Revolutionary War and served for years in the field in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. When the news of gold in California reached them, they decided it was too rich an opportunity and undertook the long overland journey. His master claimed Sacremento (1849) and they doubled their fortunes through careful management of gold claims they purchased but, as time wore on, Reginald felt that the greater opportunity lay in San Francisco. Finally, he took his leave of his master and gave up his titles to relocate (1895). While his relationship with the Prince was initially strained by suspicion, in time his good judgement and forthrightness was recognized as his services to the covenant accrued. He earned his title of tribute mediating the conflict between the Prince and Bishop in 1935 that resulted in the current arrangement between the covenants. Rumor has it that he was approached to be the third member of House Pullus, but this is incorrect.
Recent Events
Knox is growing bored of his wealth and power and is looking for another diversion. He has tried Lady Mia’s service but wants a more substantial relationship. He has begun cultivating relationships with promising young women he has met through his interests and is focusing on one, Lidia Ferran, an up and coming equestrian from a wealthy San Jose family. He is unaware that she is kin to an Ivory Claw family in that city, a situation which is sure to erupt once he makes his move. She is currently doing her internship at UCMC.
