Daisy is contacted by a family which is being haunted by a poltergeist.

- 32 year old maternal aunt (b 1978), Michelle Keane, new-agey, the one who contacts Daisy.
- 12 year old girl (b 1998), Madison (Maddy) Barnes, currently manifesting, focus of attacks.

Long family history. House built just after 1906. Pacific Heights.
One of the Bell children. Haunted by the poltergeist of Teresa Bell. Youngest daughter Eustace. (1889-1971) Children 1910s, grandchildren 1930s, great-grandchildren 1950s, great-great-grandchildren 1970s, great-great-great-grandchildren 1990s.
1930s, difficult times, family money lost in stock market crash. History of mental illness (?) and sporadic magical talent. Attic room, bed with restraints, last used in the 50s. 30s child was lobotomized. 10s children died of flu before manifesting. Skipped a generation (70s), but now manifesting in a 90s kid. Teresa's spirit lingers with the family, tormenting those who show magical talent.
Barnes Eustace Barnes (nee Bell) (1889-1971) - youngest daughter of Thomas and Teresa Bell, untrained magical talent. 74 year old great-grandaunt (b 1936-1991), Nancy, Daniel and James' aunt, lobotomized in 1951 and institutionalized. 60 year old granduncle (b 1950), James, Daniel's older brother, institutionalized in 1966 on anti-psychotics.
