Shadow

Most of this area is still rolling sand dunes in the Shadow, overlayed with ghosts of houses, cars, and other objects which have yet to make an impact on this side. Richmond and Clement are the only streets with a strong presence. Here and there exceptions exist, such as the Black House, original home to the Church of Satan and demolished in 2001, but existing here in greater glory than it ever saw on the other side, dark and menacing like something out of a Poe novel. Other items of interest are the remains of cemetaries long since departed, making the Hisil reflection of this neighborhood one of the bleaker in the city. As a bright point, the Cliff House and Sutro Baths are majestic at the far western end of the neighborhood. Richmond is also home to some particularly powerful elemental spirits who war constantly in the skies above, spirits of sun, fog, and wind, source of the areas notoriously unpredictable weather.
