• Bo takes Tina and the children out of San Francisco.
• End of the world (6:32pm PST).

• Beginning of the new world, seven months to the day after the end began.

Timetable

• Mary Pleasant and the ghosts already at park, hiding in the shadows.
• 5:15: Eclipse begins at 5:15pm, gates open at AT&T park, Giants batting practice.
• 5:45: Oakland A's batting practice starts.
• 6:25: Batting practice ends. Giants come onto the infield.
• 6:30: Roycroft and his men show up and call the game, begin evacuating people. Those remaining in stands: McGraws and scattered angels.
• 6:31
  • Thralls move to block people leaving, FBI guys open fire.
  • Ghogiel drops his illusion, revealing Cain and the Denarians (disguised as Giants). The real Giants flee the field.
  • Cain touches the baseline to activate his shield and then walks to the pitcher's mound.
  • The Knights and the McGraws engage the Denarians.
  • The angels stay in the stands, waiting.
  • The Senior Council try and counter the shield and the growing spell, to no avail.
  • Stenstrom and Julia kill Azariel in a massive magical battle.
  • Steven and Evelyn try and talk to Cain, who is distracted but not enough.
  • Daisy's brother Eli is turned to stone by Sheireil, Theuniel merely points at Uncle John and he dies, and Jed's sister Margie is torn apart by Theumiel's ravens.
  • John's prayers call forth a holy radiance which pains and weakens the Denarians around him, allowing the Knights to get in three kills:
  • Jed kills Theumiel in a rage when the light scatters his ravens and forces him to coalesce.
  • Boutros slays Ghogiel when the light disrupts his illusions.
  • Juan kills Sheireil with his eyes closed, focusing on her screams of pain from the light.
  • Cain completes his spell and breaks the "circle" to release it.
• 6:32
  • The earthquake begins. The gates begin to open. The Fallen, the dead, and demons appear. The angels already present engage with a blow of Gabriel's horn.
  • Kaplan accompanies Steven and Evelyn, approaching Cain, but he kills all three of them (and it pains him greatly).
  • Dumont tries to kill Cain and is instantly slain by the reflection of his magic.
  • Stenstrom and Robert strive to hold the stadium together with geomancy. Solomon and Julia lend power.
  • The rest of the Senior Council tries to hamper Cain with indirect magic, but he counters everything.
  • Gail rallies the dead to help the good guys while Zomiel raises the bodies of the dead to fight for the bad guys.
  • Grace works to counter Denarian magic, assisting the Knights.
  • Daisy's brother Noah is ripped apart by Zomiel's zombies.
  • Julia is killed fighting Zomiel but destroys him (and all his zombies) with her death curse.
  • Roycroft, standing alone against a horde of demons trying to get those fleeing, detonates a suicide bomb under a hundred crucifixes, causing immense devestation.
  • Catharial concentrates on breaking the ranks of the McGraws but Ruth is matching him, so he kills her and badly injures Sophie when she tries to step in. Sam and Rick are injured trying to protect them.
  • The angels and the Fallen have almost wiped each other out.
  • The Ark rises from the earth under the pitcher's mound at Cain's prompting.
  • A new gate opens (filled with light, Michael, and the rest of the angels) around the Ark.
  • Steven and Evelyn rise from the dead, panicking Cain, and approach the gate.
  • Cain destroys the Ark and the Outer Gates open (a growing lake of mordite "fire").
  • Arsalan tries to hold the gates closed and Abaddon kills him.
  • Outsiders begin pouring through the gates, ripping reality apart.
  • Michael and the remaining angels engage the Outsiders. Michael and Abaddon destroy one another.
  • The remaining members of the Senior Council fight the Outsiders. Rabal is killed, Sheng is crippled. Amu, Robert, and Stenstrom hold out.

Important Points

• Only Daisy can kill Cain. (Theunial tries to hijack the Darkhallow ritual.)
• Only Eva can close the Outer Gates.
• Only Tolliver can hold reality together against the Outsiders. (Ogiel attempts to distract him with her seductive powers.)

Contingent Events

• Grace is badly wounded while keeping them focused.
• Jed and John are incinerated by Usiel while protecting Daisy.
• Solomon will sacrifice himself to give Eva the power she needs and die absorbing all of the backlash needed to channel it.
