This spirit exists only to see the Phelan family destroyed, starting with its Uratha. Once that task is done, it will vent its remaining wrath on the rest of the People, but its priorities are set, to the point that it will ally with other Uratha in order to achieve this goal. This gives a means to approach it, so long as the Uratha in question are not part of the family. It cannot negotiate its obsession, however, and will not listen to any attempts to disuade or redirect it. Unlike most ghost children, this one has a strange sentimentality about its parents, because they died for it. It doesn’t love them, but it still holds their deaths against the family. | This spirit exists only to see the Phelan family destroyed, starting with its Uratha. This ghost child was birthed in 1916 from the union of Devlin Keegan, Jr and Norah Keegan. Each parent was executed by their alpha once their sin was revealed and the resultant curse on the line led to only Devlin’s other son, Sean, changing in the next generation of the family (some suspect the ghost child had something to do with this, though most attribute it to Luna). Devlin’s Child, as the unihar came to be called, has lurked in the city ever since, biding its time and attacking members of the family when it could catch them alone. It succeded in killing the alpha of the downtown pack who had executed its mother in 1933 and was driven into hiding by the resulting hunt. When it re-emerged in 1968, it killed Sean Keegan, its brother. It was brutally dispatched by Tess Keegan at that time and ended up slumbering in the house where it was birthed in the Castro. It watched the events leading up to the Castro War and tipped off the Pure of the war party formation, leading to the ambush in Glen Canyon. Afterwards, it approached the wolf-blooded family of the slain Fire-Touched and offered them its help in striking back at those who killed their kin. Since then, it has been a totem of sorts for the Hellstrom clan, helping them prepare for their vengeance. It is also aware that Philip Hellstrom survived and is watching the fallen ritemaster for an opportunity to help him exact his vengeance. | This ghost child was birthed in 1916 from the union of Devlin Keegan, Jr and Norah Keegan. Greater Jaggling, Ghost Child
Description
Devlin’s Child appears as a parody of a gauru form with sharp teeth, large ears, and dark eyes. His coat is a ruddy color not unlike dried blood and he smells of old menstrual blood and the acrid tang of old perspiration. His voice is deep and full of barely suppressed rage.
Storytelling Hints
