Lesser Jaggling, Conceptual Spirit, Ideological Choir

Wasting Death used to be the pack totem of the Plague Prophets and leader of the brood which occupies the Universal Faith Free Clinic and Hospice. It has now run to ground at the Underhill Nest.

Description

Wasting Death appears as a gaunt, disease-ridden human of indeterminate gender, oozing with sores and pustulence, and with eyes of pure black.

Storytelling Hints

It lingers around those dying of slow, wasting illnesses. While it is a spirit of death, primarily, it is in no rush for the dying to expire. It will use its influences to draw out the experience as much as possible.

Background

Wasting Death has lurked around the city for a long while, spawned from victims of lingering, terminal diseases. It increased in power dramatically with the onset of the AIDS epidemic, feasting in the Castro on essence and spirits of its ilk. It was saved the devastation of the Castro War through its alliance with the Pure and was safely out of range of the rite which decimated its former haunts. Now it shepherds its new servants and feeds off of their offerings. It teaches its children the secrets of death.
