This Invictus coterie was one of two formed in the chaos following the 1906 earthquake. It lost the ensuing power struggle and has been the primary opposition of the Prince ever since. The coterie is dedicated to the enrichment of its members and people of Chinese descent in the Bay Area. They have spent the last century developing financial and social ties within their resident community. Their power initially lay in San Francisco's Chinatown but quickly expanded with the spread of Chinese immigrants throughout the region. In the last couple decades, they have even begun to develop ties with overseas Chinese communities, particularly in Hong Kong. However, they have limited their growth by restricting their ties to the Chinese, otherwise they would have made more of the tech boom.
