Background
Cain was cursed by God to wander the earth, unable to die or be killed. He was the first to acquire the thirty pieces of silver the Fallen were bound into (some say he did the binding) and the first Denaarian, bonding with the fallen angel Muriel, better known as Abbadon or the Angel of the Bottomless Pit, from Revelations. Abbadon holds the key to the Outer Gates and sides with Lucifer, thus moving from the protector of humanity from the things beyond to the agent of the apocalypse.
History
Cain wandered the earth for centuries in repentance until the coming of Christ. He became the disciple known as Judas and betrayed him when he said that God would not forgive him. Christ's death was orchestrated by Cain as the start of the Apocalypse spell. The thirty pieces of silver were enchanted to hold the fallen angels known now as the Denarians. He took the grail with him to England (stories confuse him with Joseph of Arimathea), where he was the source of the Merlin legends (the demonic heritage was due to his status as a Denarian), and formed the White Council. During this, he is briefly imprisoned by a wizard named Viviane after she discovers his demonic heritage. On being rescued by the other Denarians, he begins using mind magic on all members of the Council to ensure he is not detected again.
