He saw his sister brutally injured and his cousin Kim slaughtered and he howled to the pregnant moon. The distraction bought the Tribes of the Moon a chance to retreat. Since then, he has burned with a dedication to his family and his pack, consumed by a need to protect them and rally them to war against their enemies. 		+	When Tess bested Hugh and took control of the family, she asked Mike to accompany her downtown to act as beta of the Silver Kings. Mike accepted, but isn't happy about it. His family is remaining in Inner Sunset and he is commuting. He is wary of Hugh and thinks Tess is being too heavy-handed with him. He doesn't want to interject himself into the Valkyries, however, so feels he has little choice than to do as he's been asked.
