While the family wasn't thrilled with the venue, they could hardly complain about the marriage and resulting child. Kelly was spoiled rotten by her parents, even more so than her little sister, Jennifer. Her place as daddy's little girl was solidified when she went through her First Change. She quickly made friends with the other four girls who changed around the same time: her cousins [[Janice McShane\|Janice]], [[Michelle Phelan\|Michelle]], [[Robin Keegan\|Robin]], and [[Kim Keegan\|Kim]]. The five of them talked of forming their own pack, but secretly Kelly would never have left her father's side. Her life was shattered when the Castro War killed her father and two of her best friends. Janice was distracted by concerns for her newly changed siblings and Michelle was too angry to offer much support, so Kelly fled the pack, unable to deal with life without her father and her own cowardice during the war. She caved to Tess and Hugh's pressure to marry after the war, entering a loveless marriage to Hugh's older son and becoming a member of his somber pack. She was joined by Michelle and two have been unhappy with the arrangement ever since. Both spoke frequently about forming their own pack, but lately Michelle has been more interested in challenging Hugh before his youngest is powerful enough to take his place.
