==Background==
Less a spirit of drugs themselves and more of their effects, High has been kicking around the city since the opium dens in the Barbary Coast days. It spent much of the sixties in the area of Haight-Ashbury but these days can be found as far afield as the Tenderloin and the northern bits of the Mission where many of the cityâ€™s illegal drugs are sold.
